Quarter 1:
Community & Citizenship:
This class helps neurodivergent teens build real-world social skills by exploring their local community. Each week, students practice communication, teamwork, and independence through group outings and service-based learning. Activities may include visiting museums, learning about local government, or volunteering with community partners. The class focuses on developing confidence, responsibility, and a sense of belonging.
Social Skills:
This class supports students in building strong, positive relationships through interactive activities and guided group discussions. Teens will practice communication, empathy, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution in a supportive environment. Each week includes structured opportunities to role-play, collaborate with peers, and apply these skills in real-life scenarios.
Ag in the Valley:
A hands-on field trip program where students explore local agriculture, animals, and food systems. Each week includes visits to orchards, alpaca farms, egg producers, and community gardens. The program builds responsibility, sensory awareness, and a deep connection to the land and community—while fostering patience, teamwork, and self-confidence.
Movement Group:
This large movement class helps students develop coordination, confidence, and regulation through full-body activities. Each week features a new outing such as swimming, hiking, rock climbing, or trampoline parks. The focus is on building strength, focus, and social connection in a safe and supportive space.
Life Skills:
Empowering students with the tools they need for greater independence, this class covers budgeting, job readiness, time management, communication, and self-care. Students will also engage in community-based experiences to practice these skills in real-life settings—building confidence every step of the way.
STEM:
A creative maker space where teens design and build real products like 3D prints, t-shirts, or jewelry. Weekly projects promote executive functioning, problem-solving, and self-expression. The session culminates in an Inventors’ Expo where students showcase or sell their work in a supported, confidence-building environment.
